Blue Pathways Educational Mentorship Services offers a comprehensive suite of tailored workforce development programs designed to empower youth with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in high-demand industries. These programs are carefully structured to maintain confidentiality and protect the privacy of participants and organizational strategies.

One Choice Leadership Program

Target Audience: Youth ages 14–24, including those aged out of foster care or experiencing homelessness
Program Duration: Flexible – can be delivered as 1-hour sessions, 1-day workshops, 6-week cohorts, or 18-week extended programs to align with Michigan Works Pre-Apprenticeship programs

Program Focus: Workforce training and leadership development for careers in cleaning, hospitality management, culinary arts, and food service.

Program Highlights:

  • Cleaning & Facility Management – Hands-on training in residential, commercial, and specialized cleaning; focus on safety and efficiency.

  • Hospitality Management – Fundamentals of customer service, event setup, teamwork, and hospitality operations.

  • Culinary Arts – Food preparation, cooking techniques, menu planning, and presentation skills.

  • Serve Safe Certification – Industry-recognized food safety certification for career readiness in food service.

  • Career Readiness & Entrepreneurship – Resume building, interview preparation, workplace professionalism, and guidance for starting small businesses.

  • Mentorship & Community Engagement – Connect with industry professionals and participate in real-world projects to apply skills.

The One Choice Leadership Program empowers youth to turn their ideas into action through Youth Business Pitches. Participants receive guidance on developing a business concept, creating a professional presentation, and pitching their idea to industry professionals and community stakeholders.
